Santa Ynez Valley Concert Series Announces its 45th Year!

Join us for our Words to Live by Speaker Series as we welcome Artistic Director Robert Cassidy and Series Coordinator Linda Stafford Burrows as they share their behind the scenes planning and insight for this successful program that brings classical and chamber music to the Santa Ynez Valley.

Robert Cassidy
Cassidy is the Artistic Director of the Santa Ynez Valley Concert Series in Los Olivos, California. He has performed chamber music with the members of the Cleveland Orchestra, cellist Ani Aznavoorian, and violist, Richard O’Neill, among many other esteemed musicians. Cassidy has also appeared as a soloist with the Santa Barbara Symphony, North Shore Symphony Orchestra, and the Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra.
An extremely active and highly sought-after teacher and chamber music coach, Cassidy is in demand for master classes, workshops and lectures, private teaching, and adjudication. A former member of the faculty at Cleveland State University, Cassidy currently teaches at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, California, and is Director of Piano Chamber Music for Santa Barbara Strings.
Celebrated pianist, Robert Cassidy, has received widespread praise for his performances and recordings of solo piano repertoire, as well as vocal and instrumental chamber music. 
Dr. Cassidy holds degrees from Ball State University and the Manhattan School of Music. He also studied piano and chamber music at Indiana University with Menahem Pressler.

Linda has a Masters in Law & Social Policy and a Masters in Social Services from Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work & Social Research. Linda’s work has focused primarily on Child Advocacy, advocating for and establishing Music & Arts Education programs, and strengthening communities. She has served as president on many hard-working boards including The Children & Families Action Network (Alameda County, CA), Solvang School Education Foundation (“SAM”), Valley Community Theatre, Santa Barbara Strings, and The Santa Ynez Valley Foundation.
