Unite to Light

Over 700 million people live without electricity. Access to clean, affordable light and energy is critical to improving health, education and prosperity. Unite to Light is dedicated to providing low-cost solar light and power to those without electricity across the globe.  We do this as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization (EIN #27-2942180) so that we can help the most people.

Our products are the lights people need to live and thrive. We focus on projects that help students study at night, equip midwives with the tools they need to save lives, offer help and hope to those suffering from natural disasters, and provide light and power to our neighbors experiencing homelessness so they are able to connect to vital services and information.
Light by light we are changing the world.

Unite to Light.
Change a life.
Light the world.

Unite to Light operates primarily through the generosity of others. The majority of our lights have been distributed through the efforts of our nonprofit partners. These partners purchase lights from us, at cost, and then donate them to people in need. Unite to Light also has projects for which we raise funds focused on the areas of education, midwives, refugees, disaster response and homelessness. For these projects we seek donations, grants and corporate partnerships.

In addition, Unite to Light sells lights to people with electricity on a "Buy One | Give One" basis. This creates a pool of lights that we distribute according to our focus areas and community need.

Wellness for Winos!

Join our favorite wellness practitioner Christina Shadle to learn about her new course called Wellness for Winos!

We all love to enjoy ourselves and we can be responsible and have a great time while being responsible and having a great time!

Both can be true and she will show us how!

Christina Shadle is a functional nutritional therapy practitioner (FNTP) and restorative wellness practitioner (RWP). She believes in balancing the systems of the body, living a holistic lifestyle, and that you shouldn’t just “deal” with your health when it becomes a problem—and instead take a more proactive approach by learning about your own biology so you can ward off (or lessen) imbalances, sickness, or disease at the first sign or symptom. Christina is fascinated by the midlife transition that ALL women go through, so she decided to dive right in and learn everything she possibly could about it. In doing so, she quickly learned that clean eating, hydration, stress management, sleep prioritization, and targeted supplementation were a great foundation, but also how bioidentical hormones can truly smooth out the rough edges of this phase. Christina’s findings, tips, and insights are now available in her comprehensive online course, “Make Menopause Sexy." And now her new course, “Wellness for Winos.”

"Pillow Talk: come with questions about sex and sexual health, and leave with answers…and more questions.”

Words to Live by Speaker Series featuring ANN FROST

“Pillow Talk: come with questions about sex and sexual health, and leave with answers…and more questions.”

Let’s get into it! We will pass around a jar for anonymous questions and Ann will answer all of our questions about sexual health and pelvic health to make us more aware of our health that we often don’t discuss openly (though should) and our pelvic health affects our sexual health and wellbeing.

Ann Frost Bio

Illinois roots, a heart at home in France and Hawaii, and now happily close to my son and granddaughters in the Santa Lucia mountains.

A B.A in French, some dabbling in North African women’s literature, and a futon business all led me to my now 30-year career as a physical therapist with a penchant for helping people feel better and function better in their bodies.  I especially love thinking about and understanding in a three-dimensional way (or is it four?)  the complex ways each of us is put together.

For the last 20 years my focus has been on women’s and men’s health….including my special passion:  sex and sexuality.

After 25 years working in a variety of settings for other people, I am now the happy owner of 5 Elements Pelvic Health and Physical Therapy.
